It is not entirely a coincidence that Mitchell Larsen
Studio is selling Steffen Larsen’s Photographics.
Steffen got his first camera at age 11 and only 3 years
later he built his own black and white photography dark room.
His cameras have traveled with him to just about
everywhere, including Arctic and Antarctic expeditions, Central Africa, the
Himalayas, Central America, Australia, India and Laos.
In 1988, Steffen settled on St Croix in the U.S. Virgin
Islands.
In 1993, he bought his first digital camera.
In 2003, and 6 digital cameras later, Jan Mitchell
thought it was time to display Steffen’s Photographics in the gallery at 2000
Company St. in Christiansted.
As a natural fit, they subsequently added mounting and
framing to the business.
